South Australian Wine heads to HK & China!

The Hong Kong Australia Business Association - South Australian Chapter Inc, in conjunction with the South Australian Government coordinated an intensive market research program in Honk Kong earlier this month.

HKABA-SA’s “Trade Team" has many years experience coordinating trade missions and delegations to both HK & China having collectively participated in more than 100 Major Trade Events in the region across a wide variety of categories.

The Market Research Program (MRP) comprised “up close” presentations by HKABA Qualified Industry Specialists and site visits to importers, wholesalers and distributors. Participating South Australian Wine Companies were given the opportunity to ask the "decision makers” exactly what influences their decision making.

Please find the attached document with specific details of the outstanding program as presented by HKABA-SA MRP coordinator Tony DeCorso.

Also attached for your reference is an excerpt from an article in the October, 2014 Edition of Wine Business Magazine. Hong Kong is widely considered a key influencer of trends and preferences in Mainland China, especially in the case of food and beverage. Having a “presence” in Hong Kong will help grow your exports to China adding equity and credibility to your brand.

What’s next for HKABA-SA? we take a delegation of SA businesses to Hong Kong in early December for Hong Kong Forum and a comprehensive week of market intel and site visits for delegates organised by HKABA-SA Board Member Frank Bueti.

Adelaide NEWS - $280,000 raised for Charity

The 2014 Cherry Ball saw more than 700 guests attend the Adelaide Convention Centre to raise money for Camp Quality on Saturday November 15th.

Camp Quality’s purpose is to help create a better life for every child living with cancer in Australia!

HKABA-SA Board Member Frank Bueti, Derrick Patterson, their team from the Pooraka Produce Market & Camp Quality put together a spectacular event including delicious food, fantastic South Australian Wines, great entertainment, and what must be South Australia’s most “impressive charity auction” that featured amazing Sports & Entertainment Memorabilia, “money can’t buy” experiences, large volumes of fresh produce and the season’s “first box of cherries”.

HKABA-SA Member Attilio Cavuoto of Ray White Flinders Park conducted the auction on behalf of Camp Quality, the highlight of which was the generosity of the Schirripa Family who successfully bid more than $30,000 for the 5kg box of cherries.

A big thanks to the HKABA-SA Members who attended the Cherry Ball on Saturday night, supporting a great cause.
